Great customer experience in Padua: Antonio Ferrari

Last Saturday I was walking along via Umberto I, in Padua, when I was struck by a red heart on a shop window. When getting closer I noticed an inspiring quote:

"Alcoholic drinks make you drunk, they do not seduce you:
wine seduces you first
then helps you seduce.
It gives itself away little by little, while asking you
for music, playfulness, words, and cheerfulness.
In a word, it casts a spell on you". Antonio Ferrari

Curiosity pushed my friends and me to get inside for a drink. Two hours later we were still sitting there, after cancelling our booking in a restaurant close by, drinking the third glass of wine and tasting some delicious cheese, different types of ham, and a marvellous steak tartare. Good vibes, nice food, the perfect lighting and Formentera style chill out music, an international look given by design but slightly rustic furniture and walls, a big shared wooden table and other smaller tables occupied by people in their 30s or 40s, altogether good value for money: all these were the main reasons why we enjoyed our time at Antonio Ferrari.

When we finally met Antonio, the owner, we understood why this place - named after him - is so unique: his passionate way of describing wines captivates you and invites you to discover new flavours and experiences.

After a few days I had a look at their website www.antonioferrari.it, I saw you can also organise events there - good to know -, and I tried to remember the name of a red wine I tried. Since I couldn't, I wrote an email asking for it.

I got much more than its name, and was simply impressed by the great customer experience this guy offers you, not only during your visit to his place but even later. I'd say the best customer experience in many, many months. Judge yourself, if you can read Italian:

Ciao Alessia.
Che piacere leggerti!
Come stai?

Ciao.

Did you know Romeo and Juliet lived in Montecchio?

Montecchio Maggiore, whose skyline is characterized by two strategically overlooking medieval towers, is a small town located in the Agno valley, close to the Berici hills and Vicenza. The two castles, entitled to Romeo and Juliet (the Bellaguardia and della Villa castles respectively), are supposed to have been the real settlement where the worldfamous lovers' tragic story took place.

Writer Luigi Da Porto, from Vicenza, imagined Romeo and Juliet's novel - that later inspired William Shakespeare - by observing the two ruins.

Juliet's castle hosts a restaurant with a capacity of approximately 100 guests, and it's also the right location for a unique wedding, besides being used for meetings and congresses. Just for you to know... :-)

Location in Verona: Bevilacqua Castle

Built in 1336 by Guglielmo Bevilacqua on an ancient Roman castrum and transformed into a wonderful villa by architect Michele Sammicheli in the XVI century, the castle is now a restaurant, a romantic relais, and - what is more important - an interesting venue for events.

The castle offers different meeting rooms that can be used separately or as a whole with the maximum capacity of 800 guests. Both its flexibility and location (it is just 40 minutes away from Verona, Padua or Mantova) make the Bevilacqua castle a good choice for meetings and conventions, gala dinners, congresses, or thematic events.

If you would like to have a look at the castle and seek for its ghost, the restaurant has an events programme that invites you to taste a candlelit dinner for Valentine's Day (on February, 14th, for 49 € / pax). Or you may choose to have dinner while taking part in a crime investigation (on March, 2nd).

Welcome to your new incentives agency in North East Italy!

"The moon on a stick" is a brand new initiative by Pidelaluna that specialises in offering incentives and events in north eastern Italy. Pidelaluna is an events agency with more than 8 years' experience in conventions, congresses, incentives and other events. Our headquarters are based in Majorca, Spain.

The moon on a stick is based in Vicenza, Italy, where famous architect Andrea Palladio built villas and institutional buildings in the 16th century.

The Basilica, located in Piazza dei Signori (in this photo), was the seat of government and also housed a number of shops on the ground floor. When part of the building collapsed in the sixteenth century, the Council of One Hundred commissioned many architects to submit designs and selected Palladio to reconstruct the building in April 1549. Palladio added a new outer-shell of marble classical forms, a loggia and a portico that now obscure the original Gothic architecture.

Vicenza is situated between Verona and Venice, just 45 kms away from Romeo and Juliet's city, and 60 kms from Venice Lagoon. It is a great starting point for those who prefer to find a good value for money accommodation very close to worldfamous attractions.

Within a radius of a two hundred kms, you can find the Dolomites, the lake Garda, the Brenta river, different national parks and, when approaching Venice or Trieste, nice beaches and small village ports. Each city has different traditions, gastroomic specialties, festivals and unique attractions. There is literally something to do all year long.

Would you like to organize a convention or a meeting in romantic Verona, surrounded by water in unique Venice, or in a cosy mountain hotel placed close to a sky resort? Let us know if we can help you find the perfect venue!
